| Waxing is a temporary hair removal treatment of hair not less than approximately 10mm long, lasting 4 to 6 weeks.
Waxing takes hair removal a step further by going under the skin and pulling the hair out from the root, thus extending that silky-smooth feeling longer than a day, which is the average length of time shaving works for.
Waxing is not permanent. It does, however, keep hair away for as long as two weeks, depending on the area and how often you have it treated. Because waxing hits at the follicle root, hair grows back thinner with each treatment, thus greatly reducing the coarseness of hair.
It is advisable that up to 24 hours after any waxing treatment, you should:
- Avoid heat treatments, including sun beds, sunbathing, and hot baths/showers.
- Avoid applying scented products or make-up to the waxed area.
- Wear only loose clothing. |
